System - Global - Analysis Fields

A wide and varied range of business types were looked at while developing OrderWise and from this a system has been created to suit the majority's needs and wants. Every record has been given many fields to store relevant information, these fields should meet most companies requirements perfectly. However, an analysis creation feature has also been included. This allows additional fields to be created to store further information, if required.

Analysis fields are usually fields that are unique to the way a company works and as such will not appear as a standard field.

Analysis fields can be created and applied to many different record types, to see the options available and to create a new analysis field go to the System module and select the Global tree-view node. From the menu click on Analysis Fields and the Analysis Fields tab will open:

Select the Analysis Type to be created from the drop-down menu and press the Add button and a list of different analysis types will become available to choose from. The options available are Character, Numeric, DateTime, Logical and Memo:

Character: This analysis field type allows a drop-down menu of bespoke options to be created. Each alphanumeric text option can contain up to 250 characters.
